Most of the time when you visit a website, there will be some kind of advertisements which will break the flow of following the article. It becomes quite irritating when the ad keeps on popping every now and then and you decide to close the website. One method of blocking the ads is to install third-party apps like AdBlock which blocks the irritating pop-up ads.
Google Chrome’s Inbuilt AdBlocker
Google has come up with its own Ad-Blocker in-built in the chrome browser. The browser automatically blocks the advertisements which are not according to the Ads Standards. Adblock, the industry leader now face a tough competition with the new inbuilt ads blocker in Google Chrome. Moreover, the adblocker is turned on by default which blocks the advertisements without any user intervention.
But, there are limitations too with the inbuilt adblocker. The problem with the ad blocking tools is that they interfere with the natural loading of the websites. It may cause the websites to show errors and possibly hinder the user experience. But, worry not! The inbuilt adblocker in the Chrome Browser can be disabled too!
Reason Behind The Addition Of Inbuilt Adblocker
Rahul Roy, the VP of Chrome said that “A big source which spoils the browsing experience is the irritating ads which pop-ups and you can never find the close icon to it. These ads are intended to stand between the user browsing the article as these ads help the owner to generate revenue. So, we decided to implement our own adblocker in the browser which is used by 56% of the world”. The adblocker will block the advertisements on a particular website when it shows any one of the most disruptive ads. The disruptive ads are decided by the Coalition for Better Ads (CBA) society. It is formed by the leading online media companies like Google, Facebook, Unilever, Microsoft and so on.
