Tinder Users can Upload Two Seconds Looping Video on Their Profile

With the trend of including more features in the famous apps, Tinder is continuing the trend. Recently, Tinder was found testing a new feature and has finally rolled it out for the users. The new feature, Tinder Loops is set to spice up the dating profile of ever user present on the application. It will allow the users to add a 2-second mini clip of something which will look great on their profile. With this new addition, Tinder is looking to make the dating profiles look genuine and more appealing.

Back in April, Tinder was found testing this feature. The testing phase was limited for the users of Canada and Sweden initially. In June, the company took one step forward and added Japan to their list. But now, Tinder has officially announced the new feature. The Tinder Loops is now available for nearly 23 countries. The countries which are included in the list are – Canada, Sweden, UK, US, France, Korea, Australia, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Russia, Belgium, Denmark, Iceland, Ireland, New Zealand, Kuwait, Norway, Qatar, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Switzerland, Thailand, and UAE.

Tinder Loops is an interesting addition to the platform it offers. For the loops, Tinder has included a built-in editor for the users. The users have to upload the video from their gallery. For now, Tinder has not included the feature for users to shoot the video within the app rather, they have to use the editor it offers. Using the editor, users can trim down the video uploaded from the gallery. Along with this, Tinder has also increased the number of photos users can post on their profile. Users can now add up to 9 photos in their profile along with the new Loops video.

How To Add Tinder Loops Video?

For the users who are eager to test the new feature out, here are the steps.

  1. Click on Add Media button present on the Profile Page.
  2. Select a Video from the Gallery menu which will open up.
  3. Use the built-in editor for trimming down the video to 2 seconds.
  4. Click on Preview Loop for viewing a demo of the loops video.
  5. Once done, click on Add To Profile to add the Tinder Loops video on your profile.

Verdict

The new feature seems a positive hope for the users. For the users who tested out this feature, their conversation length saw an increase of about 20 percent than usual. Moreover, in Japan people reported that they were able to receive 10% more right swipes on their profile than usual. Thus, for the people who are using Tinder for matching up with people, the new feature will surely increase their chances of it.

For now, Tinder Loops is available only for the iOS users. But, they have promised for a similar update sometime in the future for the Android users too. The new features do seem interesting for the users who are active on the platform. Give it a try if you are one of them.
